Don't know what's with this movie, but I really liked it. The stop animation is a bit crude, but the plot is nice. Been a while since a movie made me stop and think.
Central theme is being true to who we are. All of the animals in the movie are wearing human clothes, but in the end, they're just wild animals. Mr. Fox has a wife and kids, a stable job, a nice treehouse with a wonderful view, but he can't resist the urge to go back to his old ways and steal chickens "because he's a wild animal". This led to Mrs. Fox lamenting, "I love you, but I should have never married you."
He stole so much stuff from the farmers Boggis, Bunce and Bean, they destroyed the treehouse and flushed all the animals from their holes. And it's up to Fantastic Mr. Fox to get them out of this mess.
