Slick, flashy, action-packed trailer. Unfortunately, that's all the action you'll see in this movie. Quit while you're ahead.Another Harry-Potteresque, Percy-Jacksonesque movie offering from Disney. So you have Balthazar (Nicolas Cage) searching for the prime Merlinian throughout the ages. He finally found Dave (Jay Baruchel), but all the kid wants are magic tricks to impress the ladies. Instead of learning proper magic to fight the bad guys, he goes off dating his new girlfriend. But not to worry, this is a Disney movie, remember? Come crunch time, the boy suddenly becomes The One and a master sorcerer. Using his magical powers, complemented by a portable Tesla coil mounted on top of his car, he destroys Morgana and resurrects Balthazar from the dead. Lame.
