Michael Moore is such a down-to-earth, likeable guy, you'd tend to believe everything he says. I mean, why would he lie to us? He's not a politician, he's not a corporate bigwig, he's just a regular working-class American. And he hates his own government and fellowmen, so all the more we should believe him, right?

Turns out I was misled, as are millions of others worldwide who bought his books and watched his "documentaries". I've just finished reading Michael Moore Is a Big Fat Stupid White Man by David T. Hardy and Jason Clarke. If you're the kind of person who listens to both sides of the story, this book is for you. Here, the authors expose Michael Moore for the liar and cheat that he is. He manipulates facts, he quotes people out of context, he spins his statistics, he uses camera tricks, and he lies about his stories. You don't even have to take the authors' word for it. Unlike Moore, all their assertions are backed up by a section of references at the back of the book. Shame on you, Mr. Moore! Return the Oscar!
