Definitely not the best or "awesomest" movie of all time, as most people have been saying. I mean, the alien landscapes and creatures are quite magnificent, specially on 3D, but the storyline's been done quite a number of times already. Pocahontas, anyone?With Avatar, the setting is on an alien planet called Pandora, and the locals are called the Na'vi. The humans come along to mine the place for Unobtainium. The locals don't want to budge, so humans in Na'vi avatars go into the community to befriend them and convince them to relocate. Diplomacy takes too long, so the military types bring out the big guns. The human ambassadors take the side of the Na'vi and leads them to fight back. Against all odds, the locals win the war, and the bad humans are forced to go back to Earth.
