True to its
title, this movie does kick ass. A bit violent though - in a
Kill-Bill kind of way. I wasn't expecting
Kick-Ass to be knifed on his first outing. Didn't expect him to be struck down by a passing car, too. I wasn't expecting Hit-Girl to use swear words, much less massacrering a room full of baddies with a double-edged spear.

The whole
movie is basically a setup for the grand showdown between Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl vs. drug lord D'Amico and his son Red Mist. Hit Girl storms D'Amico's stronghold on her own, while Kick Ass later flies in with Big Daddy's jetpack and kills all the bad guys with a Gatling gun. Just when Hit-Girl's about to be executed by D'Amico, Kick-Ass picks up a bazooka and blasts him out of the building. Red Mist decides to become a real super villain and vows vengeance. Wait for the sequel.
