As before, there's a huge turnout for this year's
World Press Photo at the
State Library of NSW. Definitely need a bigger venue next year. People were milling about, trying very hard not to get in other people's line of sight towards the photos on the boards. This year's
entries concentrated more on the tragic side of world events: the war in Iraq, Hurricane Katrina, the tsunami and earthquake in Indonesia, violence and hunger in Africa, etc. Some of the photos can be pretty gruesome, so be warned.
